Bella Hardy
Cambridge showcases in the Club Tent, can often be a stepping stone for an artist. Last year fiddle singer, Bella Hardy, produced a set that those who viewed it thought was one of the highlights of the Club Tent that year.
Things are definitely happening for Bella at the moment. She's already got three Radio Two Folk Award nominations to her credit. She was on Jim Moray's awarded winning album and more importantly, will be releasing her second album at the end of August.
She also steps up to the bigger stage at Cambridge, but regardless of the size, you know she'll fill it.
Bella is no mean songwriter either, able to adapt themes, such as turning "Sovay" into a contemporary song, as well as writing fascinating song from scratch. Folk music is there to be performed, added to and enjoyed by audience and performer alike. Bella Hardy lives and breathes her music, feels every note and imbues those watching and listening with that passion.
